GOVERNMENT MUSIC COLLEGES & FINE ARTS

There are FOUR Colleges under the Directorate of Collegiate Education imparting Degree and Post Graduate courses in the Faculty of MUSIC, PERFORMING ARTS and FINE ARTS. They are located at Thiruvananthapuram, Tripunithura, Thrissur and Palakkad.

1.Sri Swathi Thirunal College of Music, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram affiliated to the University of Kerala, having a student strength of 260,  offers Three year Degree course B.P.A. ( Bachelor of Performing Arts) and two year Post Graduate M.P.A. ( Master of Performing Arts) courses in Vocal Music, Veena, Violin, Mridangam and Dance.

2. R.L.V.(Radha Lekshmi Vilasam )College of Music and Fine Arts ,Tripunithura, Ernakulam District, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, , having a student strength of 480,   offers Three year B.A. Degree programme  and Two year  M.A.Degree courses in Vocal Music, Veena,Violin,Mridangam, Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom, Kadhakali Vesham, Kadhakali Sangeetham, Chenda and Madhalam. 3. C.M.G.(Chembai Memorial Government) Music College, Palakkad affiliated to University of Calicut, , having a student strength of 105,   offers Three year B.A. Degree programme in VOCAL MUSIC, VEENA, VIOLIN and MRIDANGAM , Two Year M.A. Programme in VOCAL MUSIC. www.cmgmusiccollege.org
